We are about to return the second of these laptops in two weeks. The first started out OK, but then had intermittent sound until the sound disappeared completely. Even a complete Restore didn't make the sound work again. I'm guessing it was a hardware issue. The second one, after the first two or three boot ups, began to require multiple presses of the power button to get it to respond. Then, after the fifth or sixth attempt, it began to beep - and BEEP LOUDLY. And you had to hold down the power button long enough to shut it down and begin the process all over again. I don't believe this one was related to Windows 10 because the problem happened immediately upon pressing the power button. I've been a Dell fan for many years, but they struck out with this model. We were sucked in by the 12 Gigs of RAM, the 1 Tb hard drive and the lighted keyboard, but enough is enough.

I purchased this laptop on 1/9/17, and less than 2 months later, it stopped charging. The battery is fine, according to the diagnostics, and it is not the power source as I have tested that personally. Apparently there is an internal issue with the battery/power cord connection. After speaking with Dell Customer Support, I was told that I would need to send my laptop in to be repaired and that I should expect it to be back within TWELVE BUSINESS DAYS!!! Considering that I work from my computer, this will have a significantly negative impact on my income. From other forums that I have researched, this is a common issue, so buyers beware! The laptop is cheap for a reason. I should add, WALMART was wonderful, and this review reflects the product and manufacturer, NOT the retailer.

We have had trouble with several things on this laptop since buying it late summer. The power cord was not charging the battery, so after two attempts at getting warranty service (they insisted we damaged it but there was no damage) we got a new one. The battery only charges for an hour of use with normal processing. Customer Care with Dell said the battery only lasts one year and we need to buy a new one, this is normal. The HDMI and SD ports are loose (HDMI doesn't grip the inserted cable tightly, SD doesn't always receive and recognize the sd card). Customer service said these are user damaged and need to send in for repair for two weeks. Just frustratingly low quality for Dell and customer care in the Philippines is not helpful.

I purchased this laptop for $349.00, to replace on outdated HP DV6 I7 (3rd gen) laptop. I wanted to make sure it had an updated AMD processor and plenty of Ram (12Gigs). Well I did good or should I say Dell did good and Walmart delivered for the perfect price. The Speakers are outstanding! Very Rich sound. I am impressed. The computer is very fast up to Turbo 3.2Ghz speed. Has a Radeon (6 core) R6 graphics card built in for gaming and high end video editing as well. I have put this laptop through the paces and it scores a 5 out of 5! I recommend this laptop to all before the price goes back up to $549.00.
