I had long wanted a Dyson vacuum and finally bought this version. It was a great deal more expensive than I have ever paid for such a product. However, I was willing to pay the price for a quality cleaner. My greatest complaint is the weight of the vacuum, which is much heavier than what I had before. I also enjoyed more flexibility with my Hoover, which could zip around baseboards and easily get into small nooks. This machine is super-powered and cleans my Oriental carpet like never before. I'm quite satisfied with the suction. However, I would only advise buying this vacuum to a buyer with a large field of carpeting -- you couldn't do better. If you have rugs and hardwood floors with lots of small areas to get into, this is not the right product.

I purchased two Dyson upright vacuums before and keep coming back. I gave one to my daughter and one to my son for their new homes. The suction is great. The DC25 is lightweight and a little smaller than the DC15 that I previously purchased. Both are great vacuums, but the DC25 has a shorter electrical cord, so I find that I am plugging and unplugging a lot in order to go from room to room. I wish the electrical cord and hose were longer on the DC25, but I like that it is lighter and smaller so that it fits in tight spots. It is easy to clean and I like the washable filter. The waste bin is bigger on the DC15 than it is on the DC25, so the waste has to be emptied more often on the DC25. I do think the vacuum is over priced, but was willing to pay the price due to a lower event price on HSN.com because of the good experience with the other two vacuums and ease of use. The first vacuum did not have the ball and I love the ball because it is easier to change positions as it glides along.

I recently splurged on the dyson dc35. I was hesitant at first considering the price, but after using it, I think it's well worth it. I have mostly wood floors, tile in the kitchen, carpet in the bedrooms and a large shag area rug in my home. This vacuum has no problem going from one surface to another. The suction is powerful from start to finish - it does not lose suction as the battery wears down. I wasn't sure if I would be able to finish my cleaning in the alotted 15 minute battery life. I was able to complete every room in my home (including the bedrooms and rug) with time to spare. The max power setting is useful for the rugs, especially if you have pets. I like that it is cordless and detachable so I can bring it outside to vacuum my car. The only downside is that the trigger doesn't stay depressed - you have to keep your finger on it the entire time you're using it. Once you get used to it though, you barely notice. Overall, I'm a happy camper. That thing is a beast!! :-)

Where to start... The unit is perfectly balanced, for example, when you extend the wand to get at your ceiling, the unit rolls along with almost no effort or danger of tipping, like it's secretly a canister vacuum too. No muss disposal, I never get my hands dirty using this or create a dust cloud around my waste basket. No wear or replacement parts. I was delighted to find out all I had to do was wash the built in filters every few months, no new filters to buy or bags. I was also astonished when I removed the filter to the ball, not a spec of dust, amazing. The plastic sometimes annoys people, that it's not as rigid as they expected. This is the same stuff you would find in say a bicycle helmet. It's meant to give a little bit so it can absorb and distribute the shock. So you don't have to worry if you hit a table leg about cracking your unit. No hassle, totally satisfied, no regrets. Buy one, and stop worrying about which vacuum you're going to own next. I'll be a Dyson owner for life.

I was a little sceptical at first because of the price and all of the different Dyson models to choose from. I choose this one becase of the "ball" motion and let me tell you.... I love it! It works wonderfully and it true to it's word, it Does not lose suction! I am having a little bit of trouble with the attachment wand but I've only tried to use it twice. Overall we are very satisfied
